Concrete work with feeling

Kameha grand hotel bonn

Kameha, a luxury hotel of the future, located in the former federal capital on the right bank of the Rhine river.
Extravagant architecture meets an exciting interior design and a cozy atmosphere that is conducive to both work and relaxing. Here the usual hotel standards were thrown overboard and new standards set. Thus arose in the late fall of 2009, a multi-functional meeting space with restaurants, bar, spa and 254 superlative rooms.

The Challenge

The Hetzel + Sponheuer GmbH & Co. KG was charged very specifically with the demanding, cosmetic treatment of structural concrete, i.e. exposed ceiling beams of the new building. As the interior was already done, walls and floors could not be damaged. A sensitive approach was therefore more than necessary.

The Solution

One thing was clear: It had to be a particularly lightweight and mobile coating specifically for the visible surfaces – not too much stress and thus nearly “weightless.” Particularly impressive to the client was our clean and precise craftsmanship that, considering the working circumstances and the demanding concrete and steel materials, produced a masterpiece.

Our Group also installed a floor coating for approximately 300 parking spaces in the garage. Within a given, narrow time-frame, the work was complete and the parking area markings could be painted.

A key component of the overall job was to advise the client concerning the choice of materials and associated costs, so that a comparison was possible, and maximum cost control could be ensured.
